Ruben Lorca
Ruben Lorca is a visual artist combining traditional and digital techniques, which he refers to as “graphic crafts”. Originally from Spain, Ruben is creating an innovative dialogue with the viewer through the silences in the figure, he manages to get the observer to fill in those gaps, making them ask questions about the work, creating an exchange of sensations. That way of representing incompletely the human figure is a reflection of his own experience when he lost one of his legs in a traffic accident when he was 17. He has always thought that it is a way to tell his story in a veiled way and has understood that this is why the “inhabitants” of his works are incomplete beings.
