Set on Castle Street in the historic centre of Caerphilly, directly opposite Caerphilly Castle, our gallery occupies a series of rooms dedicated to exhibitions and original art.

Across the space, the collection moves between periods and styles, from circa and earlier works to contemporary painting and work by artists practising today. Each room has its own character, allowing different artists, periods and pieces to sit alongside one another while giving individual works the space they need.

The gallery’s changing exhibition programme runs alongside a broader collection of original work, so there is considerably more to see beyond the current exhibition. New works and artists are introduced throughout the year, with the presentation of the gallery evolving alongside the programme.
